‘Hearts on fire, feet on the move’ – this is the theme used by Pope Francis in his message for World Mission Sunday.
World Mission Sunday is a globally celebrated moment of grace. It’s a chance to pray and give to support our sisters and brothers in Christ who live in areas of poverty, conflict and oppression.
Sr Mary and her fellow Little Sisters of Jesus choose to live in the heart of Kibera, Kenya’s biggest urban slum, alongside the people they serve. That way, she can better understand the daily challenges, and reach all who are in need.
